The Easter Market interview in the video below was filmed at Schloss Vösendorf on 24 March 2012 by N1, an Austrian TV station that only broadcasts on the net.
They wanted to interview Maverick, but decided his inability to speak German might be a small - but not totally insignificant - problem for their German-speaking audience. Consequently, they interviewed Birgit; who did an excellent job for her first time on TV and is the last vendor interviewed in the video.
Since Maverick didn't want to be on TV anyway - he's been there, done that, and wasn't impressed - he kept his head down and worked on a belt during the filming. Ergo, like Waylon Jenning's said, all ya'll see is "my hands and not my face on TV."
The wrist band Maverick is wearing is patterned after the triple wrap, gladiator wrist warp pictured above. Since Maverick didn't want to fuss with making a hook and eye closure, he used a bat wing chap style leather button that is interweaved in the quadruple wrap of the wrist band to secure it. Finding the simple tied-bead wrap a tad plain, he also added metal beads he made from brass and aluminum tubing.
